2011 Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari by Romeo Ferraris with 194kW

How much power can you extract from a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder? Well, BMW used to get 969kW from a 1.5-litre back in the old Formula One days, but it seems Italian tuning company Romeo Ferraris has managed to do quite well with this creation. It's a tuned version of the Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari.

Outputting an almost ridiculous 194kW of power, Romeo Ferraris is offering just two specially-tuned versions of the Fiat 500 Abarth 695 Tributo Ferrari. Romeo Ferraris starts out with the standard 1.4-litre T-Jet engine and feeds it with a bunch of bigger and better components, including a new turbocharger, new camshafts and a remapped engine computer. The 695 Tributo Ferrari also gets a revised dual-outlet exhaust system for greater flow and a crisper note.

Like the normal Fiat 500 Abarth 695, this limited edition features the same comprehensive sports suspension package that is easily capable of containing the pint-sized powerhouse. Romeo Ferraris has fit a larger Brembo brake package though to make sure the extra power always has a safety net if things got out of hand.

As mentioned, just two of these bad boys will be produced and they'll both go on sale in the US market. It is quite a remarkable achievement, 194kW from a 1.4-litre, that's a specific output of 138.6kW/litre. To put that into perspective a current model HSV GTS only manages to offer 52kW per litre of combustion.
