Ferrari FXX Evoluzione lands in Australia

Perth has just become the home of the Enzo-based Ferrari FXX Evoluzione, after a collector shipped his car to Australia from its former home in Dubai.

The FXX is one of only 30 cars, each built to be a test bed for the Maranello company. Sporting a 6.3-litre V12, the FXX punches out a massive 630kW through a six-speed sequential manual.

Making it all the more impressive, the FXX weighs in at just 1155kg, and with that body-shape generating huge amounts of downforce at speed, you can imagine that this car is effectively glued to the road.

Testing has shown that on Ferrari's Fiorano track, the FXX does a lap time of 1min 16secs, being helped by gearchanges that take just 60 milliseconds. 0-100km/h is around 2.7 seconds, and top speed is said to be just shy of the magical 400km/h mark - not that anyone has tested it yet.

Barbagallo Raceway in Wanneroo will soon host the FXX Evoluzione for its first official Australian outing.
