Video: 2011 MINI Clubman Carmonica from New Zealand

MINI isn’t in the business of playing second fiddle (or perhaps in this case it should be 300th harmonica) in terms of funky advertising, and hot on the heels of the Citroen C3 commercial we bring you the MINI ‘Carmonica’ campaign from New Zealand.

It’s another simple concept: strap 300 harmonicas to the body of a new 2011 MINI Cooper Clubman and let the wind to the work.

MINI has set up a website for people to create their own tunes using clips of the Carmonica in action (bonus points for Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ or Bob Dylan’s ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’).

The MINI Clubman is available in Australia from $34,800 to $51,700 (dealer delivery, on-road costs and harmonicas not included).

Oh, and if you were wondering, the MINI Clubman Carmonica is in the key of G. If you’ve got five minutes to kill, take a look.
