Video: Porsche 911 GT2 RS US showcase
The 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS has just reached the North American market. The first 20 examples were available for customers to pick up at a special event hosted by Porsche at the El Toro Air Station in Irvine, California.
The video below showcases the event hosted by Porsche, which included various road tests and performance driving demonstrations. The event gave the 20 lucky buyers a chance to give their cars the full beans on the open runway and test the car out on a tight handling course set up by Porsche.
Porsche also gave some technical development insights into the car and some of the GT2 RS background during the event. The Porsche 911 GT2 RS is the most powerful road-going sports car Porsche has ever produced. The company says the RS is also capable of lapping the famous Nurburgring in just 7 minutes, 18 seconds.
