Video: Ferrari FF 4RM all-wheel drive system explained

Ferrari has released a new video that briefly explains how the Ferrari 4RM (Ruote Motrici [wheel drive]) all-wheel drive system works on the new Ferrari FF. The animated video shows a cross-section view of the car, highlighting what wheels are given priority engine power under various circumstances.

From the video we can see that the system is able to send power to individual wheels according to their levels of traction. Not only this, it seems the system is also able to cater for performance driving by sending more power to the outside wheels during turns as well as limiting power to the inside wheels. This will help the car pivot around corners.
