GTA Spano at Geneva

Spanish sports car maker GTA has officially unveiled the GTA Spano supercar at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The car is the production version of the prototype CarAdvice got to test drive a few years ago.

It features an 8.3-litre V10 producing a colossal 612kW of power and 960Nm of torque. Since the body is made predominately of Kevlar composites and the chassis is made from lightweight materials such as titanium and carbon fibre, the Spano is very light.

GTA says the Spano is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in under 3.0 seconds and will go on to a top speed of more than 350km/h.

The exotic supercar also features massive 380mm disc brakes clamped by six-piston AP Racing calipers. Braking is also supported by Pirelli Pzero Rossa 255/35 R19 tyres on the front and 335/30 R20s on the rear. These tyres are wrapped over custom-made wheels exclusively designed for the Spano.

The GTA Spano is also kitted out with a bespoke and surprisingly luxurious leather interior, featuring carbon fibre inserts and stainless steel finishes.

Just 99 GTA Spano supercars will ever be made. Prices will start at 600,000 euros ($818,597).
