Nissan ESFLOW Concept unveiled at Geneva

Nissan has unveiled the brand-new Nissan ESFLOW Concept in full detail at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in Europe. The car features an ultra-modern body style, all-electric powertrain and a number of innovative touches.

Not to be outdone, Nissan stepped up the mark at the prestigious annual event this year and revealed an all-new concept car that truly is a concept vehicle in all measures. This means it wasn't created keeping production car confines in mind, it was created to capture the imagination of all automotive and technology enthusiasts.

As previously reported, the Nissan ESFLOW is a strict electric-only sports car; there's no petrol or diesel engine in sight. Nissan expresses that the concept is a glimpse of what to expect for the future in sports car motoring.

The car is powered by two separate electric motors which provide power to both rear wheels. These motors are then powered by laminated lithium-ion battery packs that are stored very low, near the chassis layout. Storing the batteries low reduces the centre of gravity of the car and provides optimum weight balance and handling characteristics.

Nissan says the ESFLOW and it's electric motors are swift enough to propel the car from 0-100km/h in under 5.0 seconds. On top of this, the ESFLOW is apparently able to achieve a full-charge range of over 240km, making it a truly desirable sports car and, a very worthy zero-tailpipe-emission mode of transport.

Inside, the cabin is also treated to a number of high-tech features, including four LCD user interface systems which control almost every in-car setting. There's also seats that a sculpted into the bulkhead of the chassis, also helping with consist weight distribution. The dashboard is then electronically adjustable to meet the driver's stature.

The body of the ESFLOW accentuates smooth and flowing lines and a state of fluidity. There's also blue carbon fibre trimming details and blue LED lighting to set the relaxed, clean and crisp mood, inspired by glaciers.

Of course, the Nissan ESFLOW is just a concept at this stage but Nissan says it provides a sneak peek into the future of sports car evolution.
