Koenigsegg Agera R to take the fight to the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Koenigsegg will officially unveil the latest variant to its Agera supercar at the Geneva Motor Show with the announcement of the Koenigsegg Agera R.

With its turbocharged 5.0-litre V8 running on bio-fuel, the Agera R is said to produce 830kW, which of course is less than the 882kW produced by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.

However the one thing the Koenigsegg has going for it is its power-to-weight ratio. According to EVO Magazine, it weighs in at 1330kg, it's considerably lighter than the Veyron SS, meaning it has the potential to knock the Veyron SS of its top-speed perch.

That is, of course, if Koenigsegg can find somewhere to test its top speed. After all, Volkswagen isn't exactly going to let it borrow its test track.

The particular car you see here has already been sold, and will be delivered to a Norwegian customer straight after the Geneva show concludes.

Some people have all the luck...
