Subaru BOXER Sports Car Architecture FT-86 teaser images
Subaru has released a teaser image of its variant of the co-developed Toyota FT-86 concept coupe. Subaru hasn't revealed the official name of the car yet but is calling it the Subaru Boxer Sports Car Architecture during pre-production stages, as well as initially calling it the Subaru Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car.
From the little detail the images reveal, what we can see it clearly presents a traditional long-nose/short-rear coupe profile. And as the initial name suggests, the new coupe will be available in rear-wheel drive layout - an all-wheel drive version could also join the line-up - proving Subaru is highly dedicated on providing handling characteristics of a true sports car.
Subaru hasn't officially confirmed if the new Subaru Rear-Wheel Drive Sports Car will make a full appearance at next week's Geneva Motor Show, but the company has announced the opening of a special website dedicated to the event. Subaru says the website will allow users to follow Subaru's exhibitions and launches, as well as watch a video stream on the major press announcements.
