Quick, hide your shorts, the fashion police are here. Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 Fashion Force patrol car at New York's Fashion Week. The car will be used to patrol areas of Manhattan, cracking down on 'style setters' during the week's festivities.
Once a 'style setter' has been 'apprehended' by the patrol vehicle, the accused will then be escorted to their destination in the patrol car and have their photo taken.
High-range 'offenders' setting truly stunning style will be invited to the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runway presentations and events, as well as be invited to the official fashion force event, hosted by Brad Goreski, in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge. Brad Goreski recently said,
"The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force car is a statement about New York being one of the greatest fashion capitals of the world and the confident approach to individualistic style that people strive to explore throughout this amazing city."
The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG might have fitted the fashion bill a bit better we suspect, not that the CLS lacks any style, but of course it would have been unable to transport 'detainees' in the back seat. Lisa Holladay, manager of brand experience for Mercedes-Benz USA, recently said about the event,
"Mercedes-Benz has a natural affinity with the world of fashion with cars that appeal to those with a strong sense of style. The 2012 CLS 63 AMG four-door coupe is the perfect vehicle for the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Force initiative with its fascinating design and significant kerb appeal."
Fashion Week Fall 2011 is taking place in New York at Lincoln Centre from February 10 until February 17.
