Mini Coupe Spy Photos

Update 18/03/2011 - More photos added (check gallery).

Back in late 2009 we brought you photos of a Mini Coupe Concept at the Frankfurt Motorshow, nearly 1.5 years later and the Mini Coupe is now in its final stages of development. Our European photographers spotted this development mule driving around Europe.

The concept version was powered by the same 1.6-litre twin-scroll turbocharged engine that is in the JCW Cooper range with 155kW and maximum torque of 280 Newton-metres (with overboost). 0-100km/h is expected to be around 6.5 seconds.

The spy photos tell us that the production Mini Coupe will have a retractable rear spoiler, something that was kept hidden on the concept. From what we can tell this Mini Coupe is the JCW edition, whether or not the Coupe is only going to be offered in this trim is still unconfirmed.
