2012 Opel Corsa/Sonic SUV spy shots

Featuring Opel badging on the front grille and on the wheel hub caps, the Opel version will get a headlight design in parallel with its current design language - also seen on the Opel Insignia and new Opel Astra.

Our spy photograpghers say this is the first time the Opel version has been spotted on public roads. Much of the Chevrolet's specifications are expected to be carried over on the Opel-badged version, although it will contain slight changes like other Opel/Chevrolet partnership cars.

The car is currently being developed at GM's testing facility in Korea which was also the birth place of the Chevrolet Cruze and the Chevrolet Beat.

Reports say Opel will launch the car in European markets some time in 2012.
