2011 Lexus CT 200h Five Axis edition preview

Lexus has announced it will be unveiling a new enhanced version of the all-new Lexus CT 200h at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show, set to commence next week. The car will be enhanced by the official tuning company for Toyota, Five Axis.

If it looks anything like the sketch, the car is sure to attract some attention. Although the revisions are mainly cosmetic, Five Axis will have almost changed the entire body of the car from its original guise. It will feature a fresh wide-body bodykit, custom front and rear bumper bars as well as a set of bespoke 19 inch forged alloy (FIVE:AD) wheels.

To help the Five Axis Lexus CT 200h stand out even more than it already will, the entire exterior will be coated in JDSU 'Dark Passage' paint, showcasing contrasting black details. So not only will it be an attractive-looking medium hatch, it'll still present superior fuel economy.

The Five Axis CT 200h also gets an adjustable TEIN suspension kit which gives the driver the option of controlling the car's ride height, as well as various damper and rebound setting adjustments to find that perfect compromise between comfort and performance.

It is kind of nice to see manufacturers and tuners getting involved with eco-focused cars, because whether we like it or not, hybrids and electronic vehicles are likely to dominate the market in the future; it's good to know they needn't be so boring.
