THE WEEK IN NEWS

Details of the 2017 Ford Mondeo have been announced. The changes are minor, but Ford Australia says the model is crucial to the Australian market.


Meantime, Ford Australia has also announced its front-wheel drive Transit and Transit Custom vans will finally be available with an automatic transmission.


BMW Australia has confirmed the new M4 CS will come here, though we're yet to find out how many of the limited-production cars will be made available to our market.


The 2017 MG ZS small SUV will launch in Australia in October with two engine options and three trim-levels.


Opel has unveiled its new Grandland X mid-sized SUV, but it's unlikely we'll see it here with a Holden badge.


Volkswagen is focused on bringing electric vehicle production costs down to ensure they cost not much more than conventional vehicles in the near future.


Tesla will unveil a semi trailer in September, likely in concept form, followed by an electric pick-up within 18 to 24 months.


The Chinese-only, three-row, seven-seat Jeep Yuntu concept has been unveiled at the Shanghai motor show.
