Wiesmann Review

When we decided to make (five-to-two) to develop our own car, we had to have an idea if we have a chance, so we decided to do a classic Mustang design from the sixties. The combination is very modernistic. First up for full throttle: Germany. This glorious nicker of speed and the only place you'll ever see a Ford Focus doing 200 K's an hour legally.

When I first heard of the Wisemann, I didn't think a lot of it. A German company making English-looking super cars? What's the deal? From the front or the rear, the Wiesmann GTMF5 isn't exactly your average looking super-car. But I tell you what, it sure as hell better drive like one. George is good as me.

I'm gonna do that again. We're standing in front of this funny looking building, the home of Wiesmann, and my guess is You've never heard of it. What you'll find in the Wiesmann showroom is the very first first car ever made by the Wiesmann brothers, and over here the one thousandth car. And between them there's twenty years of achievement.

The moment we export around the 80-85 cars year in different countries, mainly in Europe, but some cars we deliver to Asia. But now we have also right-hand so we start to go in these markets. UK, like Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and so on, step by step, and South Africa.

Almost every Wiesmann car is different. The level of customization is quite extreme right down to, in this case, the ice-blue brake calipers that the customer has chosen to match the interior color.

The problem racing is it costs a lot of money and you have to think about this. How can you finance it? How can you do it? When we do it, you do it, you do it very professional. It's a professional team. And you have to find your way of financing. You think racing is a very good marketing tool I've gotta show you this.

It's Wiesmann's latest project. It's a GTMF5, specced up to be the pace car for this years FIA GT series first race, silver stone. We have some very popular football players. We have also some tennis players, we have some actors, but problem with all this very popular people is that they never pay you.
