We're inside the high security Lexus skunk works and we'd thought we'd show you the first Lexus LFA in the country. And if that's not good enough here is the real thing. This is car number 60, one of only 500 that will ever be built. It's one of just nine that will come to Australia. And if you want one?

You're too late. They've all been sold for $700,000 a pop, car advice has been given exclusive access even before the owners get behind the wheel Lexis won't let anyone outside of the company drive it. But they didn't say anything about firing it up. The LFA is completely hand built, the body is 65 percent carbon fiber.

The peddles and paddle shifters are milled from a single piece of aluminum. The LFA's 4.8 liter V10 will launch from naught to 100 in a blistering 3.6seconds top speed is 325kilometers an hour This car exemplifies hi-tech. The engine reads from ideal to 9000apm in .6 of a second. That's so fast it needs a digital tacho just to keep up.

We'll be putting the LFA through its paces soon enough, so stay tuned. This is Anthony Crawford on location inside Lexus reporting for Car Advice.
