Unlike the controversial company's earlier model, the X7, which was basically a carbon copy of the Range Rover Evoque, the E33 is far more original - though its design is still 'inspired' by other cars already on sale...

Jaguar Land Rover to sue over Chinese Evoque knock-off

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will take legal action against China's Jiangling Motor for its Land Wind X7 compact SUV, despite an earlier complaint having been fobbed off by Chinese authorities already. The X7 became the latest in a long line of Chinese-market models with knock-off styling when it first appeared in 2014, moving Jaguar Land Rover - which produces the small Range Rover Evoque - to file a complaint over intellectual property theft...

Land Wind X7 given go-ahead for sale, Evoque copying claims dismissed - report

Chinese authorities have reportedly cleared the Land Wind X7 for sale in the middle kingdom after dismissing a complaint from Land Rover. According to Autocar, Chinese officials have dismissed Land Rover's complaints that the Land Wind X7 is a copy of its five-door Range Rover Evoque. As a consequence, the Land Wind X7 is now cleared for sale in China...
