Chevrolet Camaro on sale in Australia

Chevrolet Camaro fans need not be disappointed at GM’s decision to not import the iconic sports coupe into Australia, as the car will be available for sale here from around October.

Queensland based company Performax International will be the first importer and right-hand drive converter for the hero car in Australia.

Camaro supply can’t match demand

Despite GM’s financial troubles it seems to have a hit on its hands when it comes to the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro with strong demand severely outstripping supply.

After taking more than 10,000 pre-orders, GM is struggling to fill the 25,000 dealer back-orders that have so far been recorded with only 5463 units having been delivered.

Camaro cancelled for RHD markets?

While the web is rife with speculation suggesting the Camaro would debut at the Melbourne motor show with a Holden badge, a new report has surfaced all but quashing any prospect of a right-hand drive model.
