Aqua is back, baby!

You guys, have you noticed? Aqua is back. No, I’m not talking about the shit band from the 2000s that had the hit about Barbie. I’m talking about the colour. On cars, specifically. In even more specific terms, car brands are seemingly embracing the idea that not all cars have to be black, white, grey or silver, though the targeting is very much where you’d expect it – at the younger buyer group, the ones who aren't going to be spending more than about $40,000 on a car...

Suzuki Ignis proving that 'weird' can sell

Everyone like a left-field success story, and on first impression the new Suzuki Ignis fits the bill. Launched in the middle of January this year, the retro-cool Suzuki city car attracted signifiant attention for its unusual design and crossover ground clearance. But the real question was whether anyone would actually buy something resembling a Pokémon on wheels...

2018 Suzuki Vitara facelift spied

The Suzuki Vitara facelift has been spotted undergoing cold weather testing in Sweden. Although there's plenty of camouflage tape up front, we can see that this prototype has a mesh grille and a revised lower air intake treatment. There's also a new sensor pod lurking in the lower air dam, suggesting that the revised Vitara will feature an upgraded safety package, possibly including automatic emergency braking...

Suzuki's local boss, Andrew Moore, says the company's Australian arm would really like a sportier-looking version of the Boosterjet-powered Baleno hatch. Suzuki APV’s Australian future clouded

The future of the unique Suzuki APV in Australia from 2018 onwards appears to be under a cloud, because of vehicle emission regulations. The current APV is the smallest van on sale here, and therefore has attracted a small but loyal following among largely city-based delivery drivers and others of that ilk. Read our most recent comparison test here, and review here...

Softened new Suzuki Grand Vitara coming

A new Suzuki Grand Vitara is definitely on the way inside the next few years, but don’t expect the next-generation model to retain the current car’s comparatively hardcore off-road abilities. Instead, you can expect the next iteration to follow the smaller ‘regular' Suzuki Vitara’s lead and adopt a more road-focussed demeanour and construction, to better compete with rivals such as the Mazda CX-5 and Hyundai Tucson in the hugely popular medium SUV market...
