We have been looking for a replacement for our 11 year old Magna which has served us well. As we are now in our 60’s, we needed something a bit higher to get in and out of. Our Sportage is now 6 weeks old and travelled 1400 klm’s and as to be expected has not missed a beat.

We were first attracted to Kia because of the 7 year warranty and sold on it by the finish inside and out. After a test drive we were even more impressed with the amount of room inside. I’m 6’1″ stocky male and had no trouble finding a very comfortable driving position and the seat was not fully back(a first time for me in any car I’ve owned). The seats are very comfy, with plenty of room in the rear for two adults or three children. Also fits two child seats and a booster at one time.

We love the auto headlights and folding side mirrors. The rear camera is brilliant, don’t know how we lived without one in the past. The ride felt a little firm at first, but now appreciate how good the handling is. We have driven at freeway speeds and cabin noise is very good. The dash is very well laid out and all the functions easy to see and use.

Our only disappointment (though only a small one) would be that you can’t select the front parking sensors without choosing the higher spec model, which had features we didn’t want. We look forward to 10+ years of safe and happy motoring.
