2015 Volkswagen Polo 81 TSI Comfortline Review
Buying a car for a three-member family (considering a pram and a car seat for the 3rd member) is a challenging decision. Even if i was not sure of buying a light “family” car, but i had to buy one!
- Great Economy, The look (ext. and int.) is amazingly beautiful, Infotainment and steering work and look great, The ride is so comfy , No engine or road noise
- Price is high, Not enough space for 5, Rear camera and sensors optional, Lags after "start-stop" session, No instant speed up
The price, at the first stage, is a bit higher than the other light cars in the class but considering the performance, the comfort, the look (interior and exterior), the infotainment and the brand made me go for the Polo anyway.
The ride is extremely comfortable; the only negative point I would give will be the lag at when you start to drive after a "start-stop" session.
The front passenger and the driver will enjoy the ride to the fullest; the "two" at the back though should act a little bit formal!
I can put a - big enough - pram easily at the back but no big shopping will be possible when you have a 5 months child with you.
The multi-function steering wheel works amazingly wonderful as well as the infotainment with the 6" touchscreen display (I would go 10/10 for this section). The steering wheel is a sport shaped which adds a plus to the interior look.
Fuel consumption can be the less you want depending on how you drive, for me a full tank lasts up to 700KMs (average 660KMs range).
The only biggest negative point i would give will be for when you want to speed up instantly, no quick response, so disappointing!
With an overall rating, i would recommend the VW Polo 81 TSI Comfortline DSG in the same light cars class.
