  • Great value for money, Great design and space, Adequate power, Excellent fuel economy, Great to drive
  • tyre noise on coarse chip, No water guage - warning light only

We took delivery of our new my2016 Mitsubishi Outlander a week ago and on first impressions we are very happy. We traded in a 2012 Toyota Aurion Touring and were worried about less power. We have been pleasantly surprised by the Outlander. It may be the CVT which helps. But it certainly is better than we thought, and more than adequate for our needs.

The cabin is quiet except for tyre noise on coarse chip roads. There is minimal mechanical noise.

The seats are comfortable and nicely made. The interior is pleasant and roomy. Plenty of space in the rear for luggage.

Suspension good but there is a bit of body roll in corners. My wife loves the light steering. A nice feature id the adjustable headlight angle for when you carry loads.

The fit and finish of the interior and exterior is to the usual Mitsubishi high standard.
The biggest surprise is the excellent fuel economy. Just running around the suburbs is returning 8.0l per 100km. And that is on a brand new motor with less than 400km on the odometer.

And another winner is the 5 year warranty with 12 months or 15,00o km service intervals and capped price servicing fro the first 4 years. And that works out cheaper than Nissan, VW, Subaru and Hyundai/Kia. Some of them require service every 6 months or 10,000 km.

The Outlander is not perfect but neither are its competitors when you take everything into account. We are very happy with our purchase at this time and look forward to reliable and happy motoring.
Outlander represents a great value purchase.
