2014 Mitsubishi Asx Ls (4wd) Review
I bought an MY15 Mitsubishi ASX LS 4WD Di-D (Diesel) last Dec. 4, 2014.
- Decent price compare to other, Mighty torque and a decent power, Superb fuel economy , media and connectivity, decent bootspace
- body roll, suspension bit sensitive To minor bumps, interior design outdated, steering a bit lag
This is an updated version of the famed ASX, that claimed of improved suspension (which it received lots of complaints) and a more vastly improved NVH. Well I cant really compare of the previous iteration of ASX. Here is what I thought after a month of driving.
Great fuel economy hands down by far the best I experienced. Price and packaging is very decent. Diesel has a meaty torque. It lag at first step but it can keep up and very nice to drive in an open highway. Power is very decent. Spacious roomy despite it isnt big outside. Boot space bigger than Subaru XV (which i consider at first).
Auto transmission Is good , responsive and smooth.
Body roll and cornering im not confident but will get used to.
Push button 4WD option , from 4WD auto to 4WD lock is great and adds confidence.
Happy with the pricing. Interior design looks outdated.
It needs more finishing touch. The front fender are plastic this is the first time ive seen a car. Mostly are front and rear bumpers are plastic but this one? Mitsubishi claim this is done to shed weight.
diesel engine are known to be noisy and clunky. This diesel ASX is a bit noisy is it because of the 2 cooling fan? At least thats what Ive observed.
Overall ASX is a pleasant car in an open highway. Engine and gearbox is good.
Havent tried off road yet but im sure its capable to do some trick of its own.
