2013 Fiat 500 SPORT Review
  • Good design and sexy car
  • Dualogic gearbox takes a lot of getting used to., Seat belt way back and takes some effort to get strapped in., Car roles back on hill starts as its supposed to be a manual hence you have to engage handbrakes to prevent roll back., Steering interface for music volume was not working., Turning radius very bad and no glove box.

2013 Lexus IS300h F Sport Hybrid Review

Lexus loaned me this car in F Sport guise while my 2010 Lexus IS250 was being serviced. I was disappointed to get it. Wanted an IS 350. I was astonished at what a nice car it was to drive around Canberra and on open sections of road. Had driven hybrids before and did not give them any real consideration...

2014 Holden Captiva 7 Ltz Review

We paid $38,000 drive away, Holden are literally throwing the Captiva's away. Starting price for the POV model, which also has 7 seats is an amazing price for a family vehicle @ $29,000 driveaway. I had driven many other turbo diesel family wagons and there is not too much difference between the Santa Fe, Sorento and the Captiva LTZ...

2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Review

This would be the best car ever I have owned, after driving Ford's, Holden's, Toyota's and Mitsubishi's. The comfort and economy is terrific and towing a van the power is fantastic you don't even feel like you are towing anything, as for driving on dusty gravel roads even with the van on I have never had a problem with dust getting in the vehicle and the handling and response has been great on the gravel...

2014 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Review

Outlander PHEV Aspire (not the petrol), purchased July 2014. I bought this vehicle to be used as an electric vehicle (EV) but as I live in regional Victoria where there are no charging stations for EVs within 150 kms, this hybrid (combined battery and petrol engine) was the only solution for me. The 50 km EV range is a bit more than my daily commute of about 40 kms...

2012 Honda Civic VTi-S Review

Purchased this car about 14 months ago thinking I got a great deal at $19,990 drive away. The deal was clinched following a short 15 minute test drive on mainly flat highway. Less than one week later the car was returned with faulty door trim. Then I discover the heater not working until at 5 kilometres have been travelled...

2003 Mini Cooper SS Review

I'm the 3rd owner of this car. The 1st owner did most of the km then the 2nd owner only did 5000km. It has a tight feel to it. Gearbox and steering was tight. It was what I was looking for. A liquid yellow 2003 MINI Cooper S R53. I use it specifically for racing. Completely stock but keeps up with all the BMWs. I'm not kidding you but I beat an F10 M5 on one of the track days...

2000 Toyota Corolla Ascent Seca Review

Comfort - Soft, like most Toyotas, but it's not a squidgy sandwich. Can be a bit crashy on rougher roads above 70kph, but cruises quietly below 90kph. Cruises happily at 50kph in fifth gear on a flat road. At 100kph or more the engine noise starts to intrude a bit as it goes above 3000rpm. A six-speed gearbox would be nice. Economy - Excellent...

2009 Volkswagen Golf R32 Review

I have owned the MY09 R32 with DSG since new for over 5 years. At the time, the sales guy told me I bought the last Deep Blue Pearl R32 in Australia. I might have been late to jump on the R32 bandwagon but better late than never. This car still drives and feels like it did on the day I picked it up. It has not had a single issue and I have not heard a single creak or rattle...

2010 Subaru Forester X Review

The Subaru Forester has, if my understanding is correct, been a sales winner for Subaru for many years now, and continues to sell well. It's easy to see why in some respects, although the car is far from without fault. Having owned this car since new, I rolled my eyes somewhat knowingly as Subaru finally joined the capped-price servicing bandwagon, albeit many years late...

2008 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi Exclusive Review

Have owned my C5 Exclusive for just on 5 years now and 140000 kms later I can honestly say that the whole ownership experience has been mostly delightful. The car still feel and drives like it did from new, is supremely comfortable and exquisitely good on fuel. My car gets mostly freeway and country driving and regularly returns 5.5-6 l/100..

I had been looking at the is350 but wasn't able to get dealerships to budge on price. Then by accident I stumbled across the Volkswagen Passat CC and was blown away by the list of features not to mention the distinctive shape that it shares/copied with Merc CLS. 2014 Peugeot 208 Active Review

Active gives you the style of Allure but the driving experience is completely different. I never considered Peugeot until they came out with a promotional price for Active 1.6L at $19990. I requested a test drive for Active 1.6L with a small dealership in the Eastern side of Melbourne. Instead of Active, I was given an Allure and told that they "drive the same"...

2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara Sports Review

I have owned my Zook now for 1.5 years and my experience is as follows. Performance & Economy - The 2.4L petrol engine has plenty of power but is quite noisy in the mornings when cold, once the engine warms up the noise is as quite as any other car in its class and price range. Economy of the 2.4 will surprise you when you watch how fast the fuel indicator drops to empty, the 2...
