2018 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 spied with new face

The next-generation Mercedes-AMG GLE63 has been spied this week, during performance testing at the famed Nurburgring circuit in Germany. For the first time, we can see the company's new 'Panamericana' front grille - which will soon become a commonplace across the entire AMG range - along with a beefier front bumper treatment, and different tailpipes...

2015-17 Mercedes-Benz GLE recalled for stalling fix

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for 931 examples of its GLE SUV sold between June 2015 and June 2017 over concerns the engine may stall at low speeds. The manufacturer reports that the engine of affected models may turn off when braking at low speed - for example, when braking for a traffic light - or after an ECO start if the vehicle is "accelerated slowly under a high load"...

2018 Mercedes-AMG GLE63 spied

The next-generation Mercedes-AMG GLE63 has been photographed undergoing testing near the Nurburgring. This latest GLE prototype wears roughly the same amount of camouflage as the non-AMG vehicle spotted in March this year. The most obvious of difference between the two cars is the AMG model's single bar grille with the high performance marque's now familiar diamond-studded background...

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE has been spied outside the company's research and development centre in Germany. This latest prototype has done away with the temporary headlights, tail-lights and grille, as well as the squared-off false bonnet, seen on earlier development vehicles...

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall notice for 2645 of its 2015 and 2016 GLE and GLS SUVs over concerns the front passenger airbag may fail to deploy as a result of faulty software. According to the German marque, affected vehicles may have incorrect software coding within the seat occupancy control unit, which could result in the airbag system not recognising a passenger in the front seat...

2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE spied again

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE crossover has been spied again in Germany. Although the prototype in today's photos is wearing the same amount of camouflage and the same set of false body panels as the vehicle spotted at the beginning of July, these latest photos were taken at much closer range and are, therefore, much sharper and higher in resolution...

2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE spied

The next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE has been spied for the first time. It's hard to get a true sense of the final design as the entire body, except for the roof, is covered in camouflage. In addition to the odd false panel, many of the car's snap-in components, such as the grille and tail-lights, have also been replaced by temporary units...
