2013 Fiat Freemont Lounge Review
Owner Review | 7 Dec 2015
We first chose this car because it was one of the newest family friendly wagon on the market. Its price and features were very competitive at that time compared to Other 7 seaters cars offered. We were attracted by its advertising price. Its has the built in booster seats and lots of storage space which are plus for family with young children. The fuel consumption is the same with its rival such as Honda CRV or Toyota Kluger. We were happy with this car for about 6 months, then the hassels has been started. We are Very disappointed with the performance of this car. Even though The car is still within 3 years manufacturer's warranty, it has many ongoing problems. It Started with a faulty CDs system, then followed up with Bluetooth connection then its navigation! Fiat ended up replacing the whole unit. But not last, the engine's faulty indication light flasing up, fiat keeps resetting the system and after had it checked for the 3rd time, Fiat still cannot determine what causing the problems! Within a year I had to visit the service department for more than 5 times not including general services. It is unbelievable for a brand new car to have such performance. A brand new car just simply taking too much time and effort to travel back and forward for fixing up the faulty. We also received letter of recall this car earlier this month. Usually if we are not happy with any products, we can return it but not for the car??? Totally unhappy customer.
2015 Fiat Freemont Crossroad Review
Owner Review | 17 Jul 2015
I've been driving my new Fiat Freemont Crossroad for three weeks now. My last car was an Audi A4 Sport so in many ways it's hard to compare as far as performance is concerned. However, as far as value for money is concerned I am more than impressed. Having a GPS and rear camera is something new for me (the Audi did not have these and considering the $65k price tag this was very disappointing) and considering the price tag of the Fiat these are amazing to have as standard. My only concern so far is the fuel consumption - around 12-13L per 100kms. At the 1000km service I was told this is normal as the car starts to "loosen up" - let's hope so as apart from that I would definitely recommend looking at as an affordable 7 seater that seems more spacious than a Captiva. We had looked at Volvo XC90 (expensive but great), Audi Q7 (a beast for city driving and too expensive to take off road), the Kluger (more than we wanted to spend), Lexus and territory were good but we were looking for value for money. A mate told me this car would melt in the sun and that I should get a "real" 4WD - my problem is though that I never go 4WDing and only need 7 seats for the family taxi on weekends! So this car serves my purpose perfectly. Separately controlled air vents in the three rows of seats is great for passengers - not all have this so I would suggest checking this.
2015 Fiat Freemont Crossroad Review
Owner Review | 2 Feb 2015
After finding out we were expecting a fourth child the search for a reasonably priced 7 seater began .We were firstly inclined to lean towards a people mover however nothing was to our liking this led us to an SUV type vehicle. Upon inspection of many vehicles ranging from Kluger , Colorado7 ,UMax etc we were finding we were spending a lot of money on vehicles with very little features. It was with sheer luck that we stumbled across the Freemont which to our surprise was not only reasonably priced but also packed with features .We were pleasantly surprised at what we actually got for our money. Not only is the vehicle packed with features and storage but it is a stylish looking vehicle which all our friends and family have commented on since it's purchase. The vehicle is surprisingly smooth and powerful to drive and yet is not overly thirsty for the weight of the vehicle. The dual climate control creates a comfortable atmosphere for all and the audio system is of high quality. The inbuilt navigation system is user friendly compared to many that I have dealt with in the past. With the V6 engines power you will find in the wet there can be a little to much power if not used correctly with the front wheel drive an all wheel drive would make a great vehicle. The overall ride of the vehicle can be little hard on rougher roads but overall I can not fault the vehicle and would recommend it to any buyer on sheer value for money.
