I wouldn’t be surprised to see a stripper model in a year of so for 19k.

And your right, FT86, Veloster Turbo comparo would be very interesting

Really good looking hatch. I haven’t been a fan of Hyundais recent look – but I love this! Matte black and turbo would be wicked. Nice one Korea.

I’ve never understood why it was impossible for anyone to offer a 2 door coupe at a cheap price (aka Mitsubishi Lancer back in the day), I highly doubt slicing 2 doors off a car adds $5k or more to the price

Judging by the price of this, the Veloster Turbo would be undercutting the FT86 or matching it in price, which would lead to an interesting battle

Holden call it “small” for marketing reasons so they can sell more. Like the Cruze the Barina is the biggest, heaviest and thirstiest in its class. People buy them for their cheap sticker price not for because they are the best.

watch out on advice about oils used on nisssan xtrail diesel, this Renault soursed engine is very sophistocated in design, nothing like ancient old diesels, very reliable will go forever, must be very careful to use correct oil’s, especially if fitted with particulate filter, must be low ash oil, never overfill sump, thats where all the problems are coming from, and refill sump very very slowly after a oil change, takes about 20mins to drain new oil into sump, then sit back and enjoy all the benefits of a beautiful Renault engine
