The world’s oldest continuous motoring brand has passed an epic milestone this week, with Peugeot announcing the production of its 50-millionth vehicle since its inception in 1891.
The landmark 50-millionth vehicle was a Peugeot 308, produced at the brand’s manufacturing site at Sochaux, France - just one of 24 production sites around the world.

With fuel prices the way they are going, people’s budgets are being constrained. To keep our present car-dependent lifestyle, we have several alternatives. We can buy more fuel efficient cars, we can budget better, or we can drive smarter.

PSA Peugeot Citroen and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) have announced a deal today for both companies to begin a joint feasibility study on an “extended technical collaboration” to develop electric powertrains.

Mitsubishi announces the news a few hours ago, saying the study will be conducted over several months, with the final aim being the development of electric powertrain for small urban vehicles.
Hybrids are no better in the real world than diesels
“cleangreencars.co.uk” say, “Just buy a diesel” after road testing three hybrids and three diesels.
After the introduction of the 308 hatchback earlier this year, Peugeot is now going full throttle on the development of the 308 CC, due to hit the showroom mid next year.
