Zenvo ST1 – Danish Supercar

November 14, 2009 by Anthony Crawford

First it was Sweden with their bespoke and mind- warpingly quick Koenigsegg. But at least that was plausible, given Sweden’s long-standing stake in the automotive industry. Now it’s Denmark’s turn, with a car more powerful than the Bugatti Veyron and from what we know, just as expensive.

On a recent trip to Sweden via Copenhagen [...]

Hyundai i30cw Long-Term Update

Test model: Hyundai i30cw SX CRDi, 5-speed manual transmission – $24,390 (manufacturer’s list price)

It’s easier loading my 7 year-old daughter’s mountain bike into the i30cw wagon; than it was in any SUV I’ve driven this year. I figure it’s the low load entry that accounts for this revelation.

Many of the soft-roaders with a [...]

Alfa Romeo Montreal – Supercar 1970

November 11, 2009 by Anthony Crawford
Filed under Alfa Romeo, Car News

Alfa Romeo built some of world’s best looking cars in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s, proper sports cars, which drove well and were somewhat affordable to the average hard-working punter.

I myself was the proud owner of a 1975 2.0-litre Spider and to this day remain in mourning over its sale in the interest of furnishing [...]

BMW 1 Series M?

November 8, 2009 by Anthony Crawford

As far back as late 2007, there were reports circulating around the web of a possible ‘M’ version of the 1 Series.

Those rumours did seem a little far fetched, given the blistering performance of the current 135i with its twin turbo straight six engine developing a whopping 225kW and enough to sling shot the [...]

The fast and the furious of the off-road world

It weighs 2,590 kilograms, yet will blast off from a standing start to 100km/h in 6.2 seconds. It’s also sports car tidy through the bends and more luxurious than a suite at the Dorchester.

Automobili Lamborghini based in the small rural town of Sant’Agata in Italy’s north, has just opened its seventh Chinese dealership in Hangzhou.
China is on track to sell 80 cars this year, which is 23 [...]
