The Mahindra Pik-Up is available in South Australia from this month with the establishment of the Indian utility manufacturer’s first dealership in Morphett Vale, south of Adelaide.

Morphett Vale Mahindra will become Mahindra Automotive Australia’s first stand-alone dealership and joins a network of more than 25 dealers across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.

The Mahindra Pik-Up launched in Australia over three years ago and is available as a single cab and dual cab, both in two- and four-wheel drive. Prices range from $23,490 to $29,990 driveaway.

All variants of the Mahindra Pik-Up are powered by a 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine with 79kW of power and 247Nm of torque, teamed with a five speed manual transmission.

Standard features include power windows, SD/USB/MP3/CD compatible audio system, metallic paint, full-size spare wheel, driver and passenger front airbags, ABS, front and rear fog lights, side steps and mud flaps.

Mahindra Automotive Australia COO, Dinesh Choudhari, said another stand-alone dealership in Parramatta would be announced shortly.

“As we continue to grow, we are actively seeking new pro-active dealers around Australia to come on board,” Mr Choudhari said.

“Partnering with a continuously growing motoring giant costs surprisingly little, and the benefits are plentiful with healthy gross margins, marketing support and plans for expanding our product range in the very near future. With a loyal following for the vehicle nationally, we’re gearing up for a very exciting year filled with opportunities.”
