Video: GT-R takes on the giants
January 29, 2008 by George Skentzos
The revolution has begun. Now not only can the likes of Nissan be uttered in the same sentence as Superleggera and GT3, but it has also become the crowd favourite amongst this exclusive company.
Can the GT-R pull off the win? Find out as it takes on the Lamborghini Superleggera, Honda NSX-R, Porsche 911 Turbo and GT3 in this installment of Best Motoring.

Two of my favourite cars although, I didn’t expect to see the Superleggera cross the line ahead of the GT-R
Another Nissan promotional film then.
The GT-r would havae won if the driver han’t messed up the end of lap 4 and let the lambo through. What were the Porsches doing.
Japanese drivers, in Japan driving their own cars. I’ll wait for an independant verdict.
^ What does them being Japanese driving 2 Jap cars have to do with anything.
The guys from best motoring a true professionals and have driven every damn car under the sun and continue to do world leading tests.
Cars are Cars, doesnt matter where they come from, or what nationality the drivers are.
That was a great vid, though i thought the Lambo would have destroyed the GT-R.
Wait for their next video where the GT-R beats a C6-R, DB9-R, FXX and a R-GT.
No that the video has been taken down…
So what do you guys want?
Martians or aliens testing our cars now?
If a german guy testing a german car, nobody says anything. An American testing a corvette vs STI vs evo X…and corvette wins, does this mean that he’s biased?
you guys gotta get the racism and biased attitude out of ur mind…(u know who u are)
Ivan – Aliens would be nice with big green eyes and dribbly nostrils.
Watch the video again. Porshe leading 1 & 2 to laps 3/4…then losing it completely. Yeh do have respect for the fact that they are pros…but they are biased. Just wait for others to do it. I suspect the GT-R will win round the bendies not on the straight.
Typical best motoring, as said, its a Japanese promotional video. The tests are about as bias as they come.
Sorry can’t watch it mate, unavailable.
I’ll wait until i can get the full video.
Although I have to admit that not all the racers in that show have the same close skills to each other.
But on the other hand, let’s say Australia created a supercar that would match the german equivalent at 1/2 the price, reliable and can be driven everyday…I’m sure anyone who call themselves Australian would be very proud of it. That’s probably what’s happening in Japan right now with their GT-R… ;)
