Official images of the Hummer H3T pick-up have found their way onto the web ahead of its debut next month at the Chicago Auto Show.

Based on the H3 SUV, the H3T should also receive the same 5.3L V8 alongside the standard 3.7L Atlas straight five engine.
The H3T has a slightly longer wheelbase than the conventional SUV, and incorporates a dual-cab design rather than the two-door version seen on the concept vehicle.
Its exceptional off-road capabilities, raw appeal and versatility would make the H3T feel right at home down under, however currently there is no word from GM concerning potential sales here in Australia.

Hummer is not selling very well over in America at present, so this is why GM will off load H3 crap here selling left overs for awhile until buying them comes to a complete stop and will have to close up shop and send em back where they came from….lets hope for good………….

Greg. You are quite right. Remember the Chevy (Holden) Suburban fiasco? This is another ‘past it’s use-by date’ product, foisted on Australia (and NZ) by dumb-ass Americans.

The main thing wrong with Hummer is that the thing doesn’t have any class leading ergonomics, practicality or style, I do not mind a large truck being a big fan of our beloved F-150 or F-250, screaming style, toughness, a proven track record and the best selling for many years, making any Hummer look more like an accessory than a useable vehicle, you have to remmember this it has no towing capacity, a little engine that chews the juice, includes nothing special except a little off road, can you see yourself towing a trailer or caravan “just not right hey”, the only view or image I have of Hummers is certain people scoffing down big macs, flinging the wrappers out the window parking in disabled spots yelling I’m really american and I have big guns, Denis Leary approved I’m an A-hole, get out of my way attitude.. much better products out there, don’t stoop to Hummer levels…. or Daewoo which was my spam word…

i agree with greg. Also, especially the H2 (not necesserily the H3) is that they are too wide for Australias narrow 4WD tracks. A defender is perfect because it comes from the UK were all there roads are narrow. Another thing about Hummers is there reliability and build quality, which is poor at best. I have heard of and seen (via internet) many instences of hummers being damages or even falling apart.

F150 and f250, ha the Hummer would crap all over that. jealous lot you ford fans. Falcon wont even be Aussie after the orion. Sounds like the name of a american cookie. Also the daewoo now is a different Daewoo to the past. You lot are acting like 2 year olds. HUMMERS RULE JERKS, GM rules, learn to live with it. HOLDEN RULES. Great to stoop to your level for a change. Makes me feel so much better. No doubt I will receive the usual abuse you morons dish out. Lets see how long it takes.

The Ford nuts are crapping on about the H3 not fitting on the 4wd trails (which is rubbish), while admitting they love their F250.
The chance of an F250 fitting on the Hume Highway is slender.
Grow up, Ford boys, and realise Ford is in terminal decline in Australia. You will have to feast on GM, or choke on Toyota products, hahaha.

Who is comparing an H3 with a F-series? They are a total different class.
Reckless1, you joking right? How is Ford on a terminal decline?

Bottom line. F Series Owns all over some gutless Inline 5 Auto that attempts to drag along over 2 Tonne of truck (even if it looks nice)…
Yea…Compare that to a Turbo Diesel V8….Right…the H3 Rocks my socks off…not.

Sahame about the engine, 4speed auto and build quality.
Without its looks the only people who would buy one are the same people who bought cars like Ssangyong/Daewoo Musso Dualcabs!

Meat Pies and whatever the rest of your name is; I don’t even think there would be an Australian made Bolt or wheel nut in that car…Go jump on the Holden-GM Brain-washed Bandwagon with the rest of ‘em

Come on yanks, stop sending us your 5 cylinder rejects no one wants over there and start sending the V8s with the big balls. That’s if you wanna see sales boom down here. I know at least 15 people my self that want a Hummer but refuse to waste money on a lousy 5 cylinder all show no go vehicle.

Ergonomics?? Who gives a rats buttocks about ergonomics. As long as it looks great and performs well on and off road and is comfortable, surely that ticks all the main boxes.
Arguably the best standard off road vehicle, its peer the GU Patrol has underinspiring engines too - until recently the outdated 4.2l turbo diesel, manual only, and the rev happy 4cyl 3.0TD with 4 spd auto - doesn’t stop it from being an offroad weapon & a finalist against the all new Landcruiser 200 series in the 4WD Monthly, 4WD of the year. Similarly the Hummer is one of the best standard off roaders - that could do a lot better with a V8 diesel or petrol. Surely a limiting marketing move to release it here with only the small petrol engine, but in a world full of imperfections & tree hugging environmentalists, the 5cyl petrol is a reasonable compromise.
Style wise, simply awesome. Can’t beat it for style. Looks like a mafia mobile - slick & mean.
A key factor will be the availability of aftermarket accessories such as ARB bullbars, a front locker and suspension kits to take them to the next level. And then there’s that missing turbo diesel ……
