2009 Audi A6 spy photos

The time has come for the Audi A6 to undergo its mid-life facelift to keep the car looking sharp before it’s replaced by the fourth generation in 2011.
The current shape has been on the market since 2005 and as you can see by the spyshots, the cosmetic changes are minimal at best.
Our exclusive spy-shots show both a sedan and wagon A6 without any disguise. The Audi enthusiast can spot the slightly redesigned front bumper, new rectangular fog lamps and bigger air-intakes left and right of the grille.
The grille itself will undergo some basic changes too, losing the centre-bar that so far held the licence plate. Not yet mounted on this prototype (but definitely coming) is the LED day-time driving lights currently available on the A4, A5 and all-new A3 Cabrio.

why did they bother?
looks the same to me and this shape is getting dated when compared with BMW and Merc. Audi will need to sharpen its design pencil around the S5
No major changes here really, just different light clusters mainly, to keep it in line with the rest of the family.
I’m still waiting for the second hand prices of the 2005 models to come down before i can buy one, but they do seem to be holding up well here.
There is little changes at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Main change would be rear taillights! They need to change the whole body! Wonder how it will look in 2011!
love it the rear looks so much tidier interor is already best in class so who cares
I waited for that photos besauce I own a6 2005, and I hoped to change it for the facelifted. But now when I can see how it looks I think I will wait for a7. The frot of new A6 looks like s-line bumper which I have in my a6. The tail lights got to small to the rest of the body. The new a4 is much nicer.
I think that they will change the back of the car so I will look more like new a4. They simply don’t want to show it now.
look real close and you can see an extension of the liughts maybe juat a glith
A6 looks better than the BMW 5 series but A4 still seems to be a girl’s/wife’s car.
Looks the same to me. Though I do like the wagon!
