Jaguar XF wins ‘Car of the Year’

The new Jaguar XF has taken out top honours at the What Car? awards held in London last night, also taking out the Best Executive Car’ category, ahead of the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes CLS.

Jaguar XF ‘Car of the Year’ at What Car? Awards

The this merely another award to add to the mantle piece for the XF, having taken out ‘Car of the Year’ from The Sun newspaper, ‘Limo of the Year’ from Top Gear magazine, ‘Interior of the Year’ from CAR magazine and the ‘Design Award’ from Autocar magazine.

“Jaguar is creating a new generation of cars that started with the XK, and now continues with the all-new XF - a four door, five passenger car that has the heart of a sports car and the looks of a grand tourer. Like the XK, XF is visually striking and thrilling to drive.”

Following its debut at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in September, the Jaguar XF is available to order now with Australian deliveries beginning in June.

Other winners included a double for Volkswagen with the Golf 1.4 TSI named “Best Small Family Car” for the second year running and the Eos 2.0 TSI taking out “Best Open Top Car”.

Top gear reviewed this car in season 10 episode 10, and I agree that it’s a huge leap for Jag.
It has gone from that 4 head lamps and round grill to this, which looks pretty awesome.

James May was testing all the instrumentation inside, and i reckon it’s better than any BMW or Merc out there.
