The Nurburging Nordschleife in Germany is under threat and might not be the open test track we’ve all grown to love due to new ownership problems. Sabine Schmitz, BMW M5 RingTaxi driver and famous professional race driver, is representing the track and hopes fans can help out to save the world-famous course by spreading the word via the Facebook page.

The video below explains some of the details but it also gives Sabine Schmitz a chance to wish everyone a happy Christmas this year on behalf of the circuit, and a chance for her to update her fans on where she is in terms of seasonal racing.

Take a look at the video below, and don’t forget to join the Facebook page found at More information on the ‘Ring threat can also be found in the ‘info’ section under ‘description’ on the Facebook page.

Oh dear. Leave the ring alone! I had the opportunity to race there last year, had one of the best times of my life. THey should just leave it as it is, too many people try to profit nowadays, it should remain in public hands. It worked great for the last 8 decades or so! Might have to make my way down there again very soon before it all goes down the toilet…

yeah CA – can’t save the ring if you can’t even get your links to work. Bit unpro if you ask me.

The Nurburgring is the single most important race circuit in the world, so to even remotely threaten its existence, will bring down the wrath of many of the world’s most powerful companies and individuals.

Privateers (with no motorsport background whatsoever) have built a roller coaster than doesn’t work, more hotels, and a shopping mall. They turned a motorsport heritage site into a circus and now have a 400M Euro debt.

Leave Sabine’s Ring alone, I say! It should be there for all to enjoy.
