Video: Fiat 500 TwinAir review by Fifth Gear

The interesting thing about the Fiat 500 TwinAir is that it uses an 875cc, or 0.875-litre, two cylinder turbocharged engine. Using just two cylinders helps it claim the title as the cleanest petrol engine available from a mainstream manufacturer - according to the video.

Remarkably, the engine offers more torque than the 1.2-litre engine offered in the higher-spec 500 but emits just 95 grams of CO2/km and uses 15 percent less fuel - with a claimed average of 3.45L/100km.

The engine doesn't offer all that much power though, as you might have guessed, but the numbers aren't as bad as you' expect, especially the torque figure; 63kW of power and 145Nm of torque.
