Maserati releases the Quattroporte Collezione Cento

Launched at the Detroit Motor Show today is Maserati’s latest take on its luxury sports saloon, the Quattroporte.

Called the Maserati Quattroporte Collezione Cento (phew!), it’s designed to place the emphasis on luxury, rather than sports, as with the QP Sport GT-S.

It has been coated with a unique new colour, ivory white with highlight lines that enhance the curves of the Quattroporte’s body. The exterior is completed with 20 inch polished alloy rims and a chromed honeycomb finish for both the grille and the side air vents.

However it’s the interior where Maserati has been paying the most attention. Apparently at customers requests, the Collezione Cento has been designed to cosset the occupants, with special coloured leather seats, diamond-shaped stitching and matching buttons in the centre. Polished Wengé wood inserts on the steering wheel, center console and glove box are complemented by mother of pearl inlays on the interior badging and the Maserati Trident on the gear shift knob.

There’s also a plethora of multimedia technology for rear seat passengers, to keep them entertained. The centre armrest features a built-in keypad for Internet browsing and email access, which can be folded. In addition, two 25cm touch screens feature on the front headrests complete with a CD/DVD player are built into the back of the centre receptacle.

Price? Well, Maserati hasn’t released that, considering there’s only 100 to be made available worldwide. But yes, if you’re interested, you can have one delivered here. You’ll just have to be quick.
