Ford Verve Concept - 2008 Detriot Auto Show

Don’t be fooled, this is not the same concept car we showed you from Frankfurt last year, this is the third incarnation of the Ford Verve concept. The original concept was the Fiesta replacement, this car on the other hand is a little different.

Ford aims to create a subcompact, or B-segment, car for North America with the Verve which will also go on sale worldwide. Ford America currently has no B-segment car, the smallest car in its lineup is the Focus.

The Verve aims to change all that. The production variant is already planned for Europe and Australia will most likely follow soon after.

Vere in various guises, Kuga and Iosis are only bright spots on horizon, together with Mondeo, Falcon, Ranger, Fiesta, Territory (needs update) and Focus. Rest of range would flush down toilet as hack and tired and THIS is reason Holden and Toyota in front as better range. The sleeper in pack is Hyundai and they have been busy updating not bad looking cars. Genesis is one car would love to own…real nice!

i actually agree with you on the fast tracking issue.

image 7 screams falcon, im really liking ford of europe’s efforts these days. new edge (old US family design) wasn’t too bad but was never properly represented on a production car. kinetic though is fantastic and the euros have certainly represented it well in prod. cars.
