  1. One word…………….STUPID

  2. Lcat says:

how many nanos could be built from a recycled f-150?

  3. Oz. says:

WTF?….Too much like the 250 at the front.

  4. Sund00bie says:

    Thats just lame!@!

  5. Oz. says:

    ^How is it lame?

  6. No Name says:

Lets hope its more crash worthy than the last one. Have a look for yourself. I’d never ever get in one myself.

  7. phil says:

A lego block is more aerodynamic than that monstrosity.

  8. Oz. says:

    Yeah is isn’t aerodynamic.

NOTICE: Toyota Pull, you will be all over this, this truck sure aint pretty, but it’s alot tougher than your Hilux!

  9. Andrew M says:

a front corner shot would have been good from a few paces back to get a better impression of it

its a truck not a car so it doesnt have to be aerodynamic.
all it needs to be is tough.
this competes with the likes of Isuzu and many other medium truck manufacturers dont forget

  10. Oz. says:

That’s what most of these bloggers on here don’t get AndrewM.

BTW, “Sund00bie” still hasnt given me the facts why it’s lame. It seems “Sund00bie” doesn’t know they are/were the best selling trucks over there. Well, best left for “Sund00bie” to explain which I doubt will ever happen.

  11. Oz. says:

No name, what speed was that crash test? I bet it was more than 60mph. You say you never get in one? Any car would vanish at that speed.

In trafic, your better off in one because the other cars are softer than an F-Series. so they are your crumple zone. If it were a crash test “Ford F-150 vs Smart ForTwo” you’d be better off in the F-150 as the smaller cars vanish.

  12. Oz. says:

Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaAB9RhoyJ8 the current model has a 5 star safety rating for the driver and front passenger.

  13. Spitfire says:

The American car industry is a fat and lazy animal on the verge of extinction.

  14. Oz. says:

    ^
What’s that got to do with the price of milk on China?

  15. Spitfire says:

The point I was trying to make Oz, which seems to have escaped you, is that if the Americans keep churning out stupid vehicles like this then they will go the way of the dinosaur (both the vehicles and the manufacturers). Hello.

  16. Oz. says:

umm, mate, it’s not made in USA. How is it stupid?

  17. Oz. says:

You say it’s stupid because you hold a grudge againts Americans. is that what you mean?

  18. Andrew M says:

    sorry spitfire,
Im with OZ on this one. the F series are purpose built trucks. just stop by your local race horse meet and try to tell the guys there that the F series are a Dumb and useless vehicle.
they are not a commuter they are a truck. if i was constantly towing a tandem axle 3 tonne or a goose neck this is exactlly what i would be looking at. the interior in these are very comfortable and surprisingly car like. the only difference you can fit 4 people seated across them.

telling them they will die if they dont stop making these is like telling kenworth they will suffer the same fate if they dont start making 4cyl ricers

  19. Spitfire says:

Dear oh dear Oz I was waiting for you to put your foot in your big mouth and you have fallen for it hook, line and sinker. I have no grudge against Americans, I fact I like them very much, and I am in fact a srong supporter of the US/Australia military alliance. I also intend visiting the USA as a tourist this year. This is my last post on this subject, I therefore rest my case.

  20. greg says:

Go get emm OZ, it’s unintellegent stupidity when people call these useful trucks, dinosaur petrol guzzlers, if you have a business that demanded a vehicle with power and practical ute space then this is a top choice, but unlike your so called bling bling hummers are just useless pile of crap that have 30 year old technology and looks of a cardboard box on four wheels, the argument spitfire suggesting here fails big time in realality if you take these F-150 or 250’s off the road then why keep dinosaur petrol guzzling semi trucks on our roads, we better take them away too…

  21. TP says:

    Hahahahaaha what an ugly POS.

Ugly…. fuel guzzling… unreliable… weak. Id have hte Hlux, worlds toughest vehicle, over this every day of the week, even with the loss of space and power.

  22. Oz. says:

Your wrong TP, Hilux ain’t no where the worlds toughest, dreamer.

  23. Oz. says:

An F-series can rip a Hilux to bits, that’s why I rather be in an F-series over a Hilux. Love to see a head-on crash @ 100KM/H. The Hilux would fall apart right in it’s face!

Paul, looks like you can’t give us the facts?

  24. greg says:

TP, stop smoking that weed it’s affecting your judgement dude, Toymota better than a F-150 geez man where’s your brain at…..

  25. Oz. says:

Yeah greg, as I said I would love to see a Hilux vs F-series head-on test. I know which one i’ll be in!

Alborz, do your site a great favour and do something about Paul as he only comes to start an argument and makes up BS just to put your readers down.

  26. No Name says:

Bl oo dy Hell Oz. you really are p1ssed at TP.
Greg the problem is with the so-called Gas Guzzling trucks is there driven largely by complete POSEURS who have no real need for them. Business accepted yes don’t have a problem with that. I recently saw a Cleaning Company with one..What F’s going on there.

  27. Andrew M says:

in australia i have only ever seen them driven by genuine users.

the useless cars we need off the road is TP’s beloved landcruisers. now there is a bunch of posers that have no real need for them but to guzzle juice.

    TP,
you might want to be quiet on this subject as you are really presenting a “school yard” argument here with the immature way you are carrying on. stop down grading yourself by opening your mouth

  28. greg says:

The F-series is designed for many purposes TP and NO Name, you don’t see the bigger picture, we should not have to explain, just a waste of breath………. also having something like this saves you towing a trailer which is dangerous anyway…

  29. Watto_Cobra says:

Go to youtube and search for “silver creek”. You’ll find a comparo over a vibration course between F-truck, Silverado, and Tundra. It’ll open your eyes to how rigid and tough the F-truck is.

  30. No Name says:

Greg listen mate you missed my point. You’re not wasting breath dummy I DO NOT have a problem with legitimate use of a big pick up especially when they are use for business. What I did say if you took time to digest the content of my last post I said generally they are driven by Poseurs who just want a big I’ve-got-a-truck-and a-check-shirt image who never carry/pull anything bigger than the fat Mackers they are chewing on.

I suspect you drive one now but hey I don’t care as you paying more in fuel tax than I ever will. Thanks for that really appreciate it , the more tax you pay then less tax I do.

  31. Alex says:

The US Toyota Tacoma is much better than the Thai-built Hilux. I told my father to get a Hilux 4.0 V6 cos we got a cheap deal for him on that in OZ. It really isnt that good of a truck though. Here in the States, plenty of better options, the F150 actually is more aerodynamic than it looks, it is styled to look agressively too. So it is a little deceiving. It actually handles really well. There is a high tech Euro designed diesel coming for the F150 (4.4L V8) based on the Land Rover engines. Expect 230kw/700Nm+ and 30mpg (8-9L/100km highway) Toyota will also sell a diesel Tundra to go against it, and Chevy will have the 4.5L diesel Silverado. All these vehicles are bigger, better and more useful than the Hilux. By the way the new Chevy Tahoe is more aerodynamic than the Porsche Cayenne, AND looks tougher!

  32. Duck says:

    UGLY AND USELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  33. Oz. says:

    ^Duck your joking right? :D

  34. Duck says:

    No!………….I’m not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  35. Duck says:

    (SMILE)

  36. Rik says:

I will buy a diesel f150 4×4 as soon as they land in Aus. One reason is I need a twin cab with 8ft tray and no one sells them. Hilux is good but 6 ft tray max on twin cab, the others are the same

  37. Sam says:

    OMG its soooo U-G-L-Y !!!

Why is there no design flair in US cars ??? SUV means it’s gonna be big, ugly, high, flat nose pushing a chunk of chrome about, and we can expect that from next years models too. No originality all pre-determined. So boooring!

For the wise one thinking an F150 outlives a smart in a head-on, think again … a smart EATS F150’s in head-ons, and apart from the never-used abilities of off-roading and carting your house in the back, everything else too.

  38. Duck says:

Bloody hell Ford U.S.A! I just came to this article and just looked at the pictures, I NOW fell SICK!!!!!!!!!! How do you think you will sell them!!!!! Well, well you wont, only to the Americans of course but no chance in oz!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn’t even lay my egg in the back of the ute!!!!!!!!!! THAS HOW DISGUSTING IT IS!!!!!!!!!!! BOO YOU FORD U.S.A! :( :(

  39. Silly Billy says:

As Aerodynamic as a house brick ,and as fast as a pushbike ,and more power than 4x hilux’s towing each other ,just to get around with a payload enough to move house. Unless you really need something that big ,and they are made in spain nowadays ,greg sees the bigger picture , thats because he is looking at an Effy -LOL (there not small)Great for the HWY ,but not for the hip pocket…. Mark your carbon footprint “HERE” (size 12) LMAO Now I know why they stop bringing them into AUS in 2004 ?Question, TOYOTA is the biggest car manufacturer in the world…do they make anything quite this big ,landcruzer is smaller by quite a bit.Its a comfortable kenworth,,If you need a truck ,just buy a truck and be done with it!!!Its not a passanger car city comuter….One Ftruck is being built every second of every day. There is a big enough market , they could have spent more time on styling ,i agree with andrewM ,get the toorak Tractors off the road ,they are driven by tools with too much money.Don’t have a problem with EFFY drivers ,little older and a little wizer I guess. They know they need space to slow down, where as A range rover can be driven by a fararri driver wana be-haha

  40. ROD nothot says:

mmm Yeah ,I guess billy has a point. Only buy one if you really need it! I don’t see any great Improvements in style other than new tail lights and front grill and thats enough to call it a new model ,some one at ford is getting lazy by the looks of it. By the way OZ ,keep away from the milk in china ,it might kill you , So will the F150 if it hits you …how Ironic

  41. Sund00bie says:

    HAHAHA “oz” you crazy mofo..

Um, well its Lame because its lame. What else is their to be said about it ?

Just because its the biggest selling truck over there doesnt mean its a good thing does it ? “oz” look where GM is as of today.

Plus, i also find it lame how you do this “oz” ;)

  42. Alex says:

Only in Australia could you call a vehicle that is actually useful like the F-series as “lame and useless.” What is the definition of useful, a road car with two seats and a tray on the back which can’t hold much weight or size in cargo? So a Holden ute which has two seats, can’t go off road, can’t tow, can’t haul, still uses 16mpg or 14L/100km…and all it can do is burnouts. Now, that is lame. Or the toughest thing you can buy in Australia? A Toyota 70 series, which has a 20+ year old design, and hasn’t really been changed. Still nowhere near as tough as an F-series. Sure the F-series is refined and made with plush interiors. That doesn’t mean there isn’t any engineering towards towing, hauling and durability. If you think Toyotas a tougher, look at the tow ratings, and look up the torsional strength tests between the F-series and Toyota Tundra platform. We can’t buy decent trucks in Australia, so instead of demanding the manufacturers from bringing them out so we can buy them, we will knock the Americans for building nice trucks. LOL
