Bob your right on there. Diesels produce more NOX than a comparable petrol engine but about 20-30% less Co2. The NOX is a bigger problem than Co2 but I read somewhere that as the diesel engines gets more miles under its belt the NOX tails off to less than a petrol equivalent. I’m no chemist but NOX is Nitrogen Oxide and accountable for people with lung diseases, asthma etc. When NOX and VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) react in sunlight they produce smog basically.

Mmmmmm perhaps we should consider the hybrid thing more.

I know this might seem a really really dumb question but I wonder what MPG it gets.
If it looks that good and goes so hard if it was cheap to run it would be quite a car that I will probably never afford.
Ford and Holden a diesel can be quick. Ford have put truck motors into a cars before.

Aren’t diesels dirtier in terms of more poisonous gases but produce much less CO2? The Euro standards only look at CO2 am I right?

What a brilliant machine. The one thing that i’d prefer in the petrol one, is the crazy sounding, high reving 4.2L. V8. Gotta be heard to be believed. I thing the aural pleasures associated with high revs adds o the supercar experience.
