Video: Ferrari 599 GTO review by Jeremy Clarkson

Taken from a segment of Jeremy Clarkson’s recently released DVD, The Italian Job, is his review of the awesome Ferrari 599 GTO. Clarkson tests its capabilities on a track and compares it to the Ferrari 458.

Only 599 of the cars will ever be made, each sporting their own individual number and, of course, a 500kW 6.0-litre V12. Ferrari says the car will do the 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.3 seconds and go on to a top speed of 335km/h. Ferrari 599XX Evolution revealed at Bologna Motor Show

Does Jeremy Clarkson perform his own Top Gear stunts?
Does Jeremy Clarkson do his own stunts on Top Gear? This is the question that currently has the British tabloids in a spin, after the Daily Mail published comments from unnamed sources suggesting up to 80 per cent of the driving featured on the show is actually the work of professional drivers.

Ferrari F152 (599 GTB Fiorano) Replacement Spy Photos
With the California, FF and 458 out of the way, Ferrari has started testing on the successor for the 599 GTB Fiorano, code named F152. These photos show a typical test mule using a chopped up 599 GTO body but with the new chassis and powertrain.

    Now who ever was driving the 458, I bet they didn’t have the traction control off!!!
    I Like Jeremy Clarkson but when he does stunts like this, it justifies every JC hater that he is an idiot.

    Yep watched it again, no mention that the 458 has traction control off. Watch the clip the wheels don’t even light up!
    Me thinks this is to promote the 458 after the bad press of them catching on fire. Don’t get me wrong though, I have the 458 any day.

      The 458 lights its wheels up at 7:28 – that’s the only time I saw it happen.

      The one thing to remember is that Top Gear is an entertainment show as much as a car show. e.g. the ‘challenges’ – how do you think they take video footage of Clarkson racing across Europe? Truth is, it’s from the back of a Land Rover Disco (read about it in TG Magazine a year or so back). He’s not really racing but he is entertaining!

      Take his comments with a large pinch of salt.

      p.s. Love the 458. Saw one here in WA a few weeks ago. Beautiful!

    If it was the Aussie TopGear they wouldn’t bother pulling it because nobody watches. Pathetic weak jaw Pizzati. He makes me puke. Is there a more boring character on TV to watch or listen too? I think not.
