New Toyota Yaris Spy Photos

We've already seen glimpses of the new Toyota Yaris in other guises, but now we've got our hands on fresh spy photos of the all-new 2012 Toyota Yaris undergoing final testing.

As you can see, the test mule is being examined against the current model.

Apart from modernising the design, the new Yaris will also be around 10 cm longer than the current car. Most of that space goes straight in to the cabin for a more spacious feel.

From the these photos we can assume the test mule might be a sporty version of the Yaris, given it sits noticeably lower and is sporting a rear spoiler seen for the first time.

Little is known about what new engines may surface in the next-generation Yaris. We suspect 1.3 and 1.5-litre engine choices will continue to be on offer. Toyota has promised a hybrid version of every one of its models, so a Toyota Yaris Hybrid variant is certain to happen.

Some sources suggest Toyota will also make a full-electric Yaris as well.
