Nissan to put three more electric vehicles on the market by 2014

Nissan is planning to build and release three more electric vehicles scheduled to be on the market by 2014. One of which will be its New Mobility Concept two-seater based on the LandGlider shown at the 2009 Tokyo auto show.

Another car is said to be a commercial-type electric van, which is good news since a majority of regular daytime driving cars are delivery vehicles. Making them electric and offering zero tailpipe emission standard the car might make a difference to overall transport pollution.

The other car is apparently going to be a compact sports car which will be badged and marketed as an Infiniti - the luxury arm of Nissan in America.

These cars will follow the company's trend in developing more EVs which will be kick-started by the launch of the Nissan Leaf, due to hit the market early next year in Japan and the US.
