Video: Aston Martin One-77 on the Nurburgring

Here’s a video of perhaps the best sounding V12 engine ever made. It’s the most glamorous, exotic and one of the most beautiful modern supercars around. It is the Aston Martin One-77 and for the first time, we’ve been able to post a video of the car being driven on the Nurburgring.

Seen here going through some final testing, the video was originally put up by auto motor und sport and has since been modified for YouTube.

Listen to the glorious sound of the 7.3-litre, 560kW, V12 – the most powerful Aston Martin production car engine, and the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated production car engine – as the test driver gets a bit exuberant with the go-pedal in the wet conditions. And yes, those rear tyres are 335mm wide.

It truly is one of those special cars that all fans would love to own. Pity they are only making 77 of them, of which 55 have been accounted for as of yesterday. Deliveries are said to begin in early 2011.

Aston Martin’s sensationally expensive One-77 supercar has been captured on video blasting around the French Countryside on the twisty roads above the famous Paul Ricard Circuit. As the model name suggests there will only ever be 77 of these cars built and at a cost of US$1.

2011 Aston Martin One-77 first example delivered
It's been on sale for a little while now but none have actually been delivered to their new, presumably very rich, owners. Things have changed though as Aston has just delivered the first example to an owner in Monte Carlo, Monaco. The first delivered model was spotted here just a few days ago sitting outside the iconic Hotel de Paris right...

      actually I was wondering if anybody picked that up. looks like a new pin code is needed or maybe a new rfid tag in the paint and wheels to open the gate.
