BMW Winter Driving Experience driver training courses

BMW, the company who pushes 'sheer driving pleasure', has launched its own winter driver training program to help all enthusiasts hone their snow driving skills to perfection.

The BMW Winter Driving Experience courses range from beginner to fun to teeth-clatteringly frozen-skid-pan difficult. The first is the BMW Snow Intensive Training program. This teaches the basics in braking and steering on snow conditions in a variety of two and four-wheel drive cars. This program is all about defensive safety.

Once you have mastered the basics, BMW invites you to join the BMW Snow Drift Training course which provides you with all the training you need to drive a 309kW BMW M3 sideways for as long as you like. These first two programs are held in Sölden, Austria, at a friendly ski resort.

And then, when you're done playing around, BMW offers the BMW's Ice Fascination Training held on the Arjeplog testing grounds in Sweden. This course is not for the faint-hearted as it gets right into winter driving techniques using BMW M3s with spiked tyres.

The courses range from four to six days long, depending on which one you select, and your level of skill. For more information on the courses and Australian driving courses, check out www.bmw-drivertraining.com
