The dealership said it is normal, but I haven't observed this premature rusting in my other new cars. The rug are loose under the chair and is not even sewn or anchored. I also observed gelling of the motor oil before the 5K miles recommended maintenance schedule. I am thinking I purchased a defective product. Toyota quality? I don't think so.
