Volvo S60 at 2010 AIMS

Update: Volvo S60 Review.


Volvo has revealed the new Volvo S60 at the AIMS at Darling Harbour, along with plenty of details and an 'aggressive' price range. Volvo also shows off its latest safety technology features.

The new Volvo S60 is an all-new car that boasts significant safety options, including City Safety, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist function and Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Detection, Advanced Stability Control - including roll over sensor and torque vectoring, Intelligent Driver Information System (IDIS) and Pyrotechnical seatbelt pretensions for all occupants.

Underneath the bonnet there's also the option of a new 2.0-litre GTDi turbo LPG engine. There's also the option of the 224kW, 3.0-litre turbocharge petrol six (the T6), as well as an updated version of the 2.4-litre five cylinder twin-turbo diesel (the D5), offering 151kW of power.

Pricing for the new models are as follows:

  • S60 T5 $51,950
  • S60 D5 AWD $57,950
  • S60 T6 AWD $64,950

Volvo is also offering its Driver Support Pack option for $4,990. This includes:

  • - Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Detection
  • - Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist Function (ACC)
  • - Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  • - Driver Alert Control (fatigue warning system)
  • - Blind Spot Identification System (BLIS)
