  • Me.

    This is a “coup’e”?

  • James F

    apparently,
it looks good, and it will probably do really well, mainly because why would you buy an X3 when u can get this? Of course its bound to be expensive!

  • Myke

The shape is rather awkward, like a sagging X5, left out in the sun too long.

  • Tonyn

man this is ugly ugly ugly, what is BMW thinking.

I could handle the “bangle” cars but this is just plain bad!!

  • http://www.caradvice.com.au/ alborz

Am I the only one that thinks this looks Superb?

Red isn’t the best colour, it will look a lot better in black

  • ScottB

I don’t get this one at all. Why try to turn an SUV into a sportscar? Sure, it’ll sell by the truckload because there’s people out there that’ll buy anything with a BMW badge on it, but what they get in the end will be something that’s heavy, thirsty, impractical and without the capabilities of a either a true SUV or sportscar.

Chalk this one up to clever marketing and the fact that you can fool all the people all the time.

  • Bavarian Missile

Nope Alborz I love this ,did from the minute I saw the outline shape in the spy shots. This is about the only SUV BMW do I like though, but what about the grunt of the 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 petrol engine (X6 xDrive50i)That is incredible !Faster than my M3 or a current BF GT .But how much?? Impressed with the fuel economy figures too! Seeing mine does 12.4 around town!

  • Tonyn

i just think of a coupe as a sports car and not an SUv, saw the concept at the sydney motorshow and it just looked really bad!

  • Cobra 302

Looks od, but for some reason i like it. I want one with the twin turbo V8!!! Pretty good fuel consumption too. Maybe ford n holden should have a closer look at there v8′s. It has better fuel economy, around the same power, more torque and it has 2 turbos.

  • Myke

It is far too big to have a coupe-like sloping back, it can’t put it off. Nice engines though…

  • 280zx

They must have had the designer from SSangyong drop by?
Seriously butt ugly waste of space…. Oh ohhh BM is going to cain me :o)

  • Tonyn

yes i must admit it does look like a SSangyong actyon….

  • Bavarian Missile

    SSangyong……..pfffttt.280zx…Bend over the desk and
hold on to your chair ,{ move away from the filling cabinet too don’t want you to hit your head again}hahaha ……….Hey thought of you on the weekend when I was sending various people on this site a pic of me dress in a sexy little ELF number…..shame you missed out!hehehe never mind!

  • Bavarian Missile

Damn my comment is waiting moderation……look out 280zx !!

  • http://www.importjap.com/blog ImportJap

Styling is a bit out there with the coupe style back, but very impressive powerplants.

  • Tonyn

geez Bm, do you want me to organise a room!!! hehehehehe…. i will have to get a look at this elf shot!

  • 280zx

Nah thats cool Tonyn i already have Haaaaa Yeah all good BM filing cabinet moved and desk all padded up :op Im still waiting for the bikini shots mind you!

  • Bavarian Missile

Organise a room Tonyn ! Na thought you were moving in with me anyway so we could share that Merc, remember!hahaha

Ok 280ZX You will get whipped till you admitt that BMWs are cool, you have been a bad boy!!!!! Bad boys don’t get Bikini shots let along Elf ones!! So you been naughty or nice this year ??ha!!

Hey Cobra302……BMWs are super efficient with their engines, comes from years off development ! When hubby recently pulled the M3s injection system apart looking for a fault I had he couldn’t believe how clean it was internally compared to his BA GT at the time! Still looked new !

  • Myke

BM did you have a drink at lunch?

  • Tonyn

oh yeah i forgot i was moving in….. ill have to go and order that merc now!!

  • Bavarian Missile

    Myke….haven’t had lunch yet!

How could you forget that fabulous MERC……let alone moving in ! hahaha. Hey have you seen the latest nanny control for BMWs .Head rests that move forward in an accident to prevent
Whiplash! Could come handy in the XAs when you stomp on it….what you think?

  • Tonyn

that merc is fantastic! im still drooling over it!!

Yeah ill have some for my Xa!!!

  • Bavarian Missile

Me neither……unless its AMG…..but I do also like the CSL500….one lives a few doors down from me fantastic gold colour!

  • Tonyn

cls500′s are sweet, i love the look fo them, prob why i like the new vw passaty coupe shape!

  • Bavarian Missile

    Yep other way around!CLS!

  • Rob

Wow .. two water-to-air intercoolers. Here’s hoping they use a separate cooling system to the engine (can never guess with the way manufacturers build to price)

  • http://www.caradvice.com.au tony

The interiors are not even close to Audi quality!

  • Captain Mainwaring

What an absolutely hideous looking vehicle, and useless as well. Tailor-made for those who think a Ssangyong Actyon looks good but with too much money and not enough taste to see past the magic badge.

  • Alien

do not get the point of this whatsoever

    seriously.. what is the point?

  • Wheelnut

I like the look of it. it’s good to see another SUV with Style; Curves and Aerodynamics – like the Lexus RX330.. instead of a Mobile Fortress. The sloping roofline really makes it a Sporty Utility Vehicle.

As for practicality.. very few [medium-large] SUVs are what you could call practical on our congested roads particularly in the inner city. Anyway for a number of SUV [X5; ML; Prado] owners these days it’s more about image

  • Bavarian Missile

    Exactly Wheelnut!!!!!

  • golfschwein

I thought Ssangyong Actyon before I read the posts. Gee, why do BMW have to copy all the time?

  • Bavarian Missile

    My anti-spam word is BMWM3 Golfschwein……..

I know there shockers aren’t they!

  • Momo

You know how Michael Jackson reshaped his nose not because he had to, but because he wanted to.

Yup, this car is exactly like Michael Jackson’s nose.

Its a freak show from hell.

  • Bavarian Missile

Gee Momo that was a bit hard!!!! I think the colour is BURGUNDROT,and I agree not a good colour on it! But a beautiful shaped car! Tonyn if you don’t like it you could always dump it like the Americans do with their SUVS!!hahaha

  • Tonyn

i still dont think that would help it! just think this is a design disaster!!

  • Bavarian Missile

    Sigh………..

  • 280zx

    Chin up BM :op

  • Tonyn

its ok BM, will you trade the M for one of these?

  • Bavarian Missile

No of course not! But it still looks cool! You have to admit the V8 is pretty quick! Imagine getting nailed by this at the lights !Totally unexpected!

  • ScottB

Its a stupid, pointless fashion accessory. It won’t be used as an SUV, it’ll spend all its time being driven around in the city, it’s heavy and thirsty, it’ll have all the bump absorpancy of a go-kart, it’ll be out-handled by a Ford Fiesta XR4….really, this is the perfect vehicle for people that have more money than brains.

  • 280zx

Soooooooo im going out on a limb here but i dont think ScottB likes it? Please correct me if im wrong LOL..
