2012 BMW 6 Series convertible caught without camouflage

An image has been taken by someone from the website E90 Post, which reveals what appears to be the upcoming 2012 BMW 6 Series. The car isn't even wrapped up in any camouflaging either.

The image was then picked up by German motoring publication, Autobild, who then rendered the shot for a clearer view of the car. It's interesting BMW is frolicking the car out and about in public with no disorienting paint work either, it's just in normal, high-gloss, production finish.

Apparently the car was being set up for a photo shoot which, obviously, wasn't done at the most secret location. It's unknown what variant this is exactly, or what engine details it includes.

The only suspicious part about this scoop image is the wheels. They almost look like aftermarket specials you'd pick up at your local tyre shop... great looking, but not quite the in-house BMW design we'd expect. The car is also lowered considerably, beyond what is normally accepted from a production car.

Anyhow, the car looks very glamorous indeed, with its long pronounced bonnet and blended-in boot lid design - unlike the controversial Chris Bangle boot lid bump on the current model.
