Renault Megane RS 250 at 2010 AIMS

Renault has revealed the Renault Magane RS 250 at the AIMS in Sydney. The new car replaces the Megane RS 225 and features more power, more technology and more in-your-face visuals.

The new Megane comes with a 184kW, 340Nm 2.0-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine capable of pulling the car, via the limited-slip diff-equipped front wheels, from 0-100km/h in just six seconds dead. This speed is achieved 0.2 seconds faster than the superseded Megane RS225.

Other features include a neat rear diffuser, an aggressive front bumper bar and a roof-mounted rear wing all aimed at providing the car with more high-speed stability and downforce during cornering. The car also gets an ESP stability program - which can be switched off if so desired - to help the car drive safely around corners.

Renault has taken on the popular black and white styling with this new model, and it has worked the new shape wonders, accenting angles and panel contours. The red-painted brake calipers give the car a splash of colour and are a hint of its sporty credentials.
